Welcome new hires

Partners working 30 or more hours per week (20 or more hours per week in Hawaii) are eligible for benefits. Most benefits become effective on the first day of the month following 60 days from your hire date. An enrollment brochure will be mailed to your home three to four weeks before your benefits effective date with information about your benefits and step-by-step enrollment instructions.

You can enroll in benefits up to the date your benefits become effective.

Petco 401(k) plan

The Petco 401(k) plan helps you build financial security for your future. You can participate in the plan on the first day of the month following six months of service in which you worked at least 500 hours. You must be age 21 or older to participate.

Employee assistance program

To help support your overall wellbeing, Petco provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all partners and their family members.

The EAP provides up to five in person or virtual counseling sessions per issue, along with other resources to help you with emotional issues, stress, drug or alcohol dependency, relationship issues, legal or financial concerns, and more.

You can also explore health and wellness articles and get child and elder care referrals. All Petco partners and family members are eligible and can access services by calling 877-EAP-4PET (TDD: 800-697-0353) or by visiting guidanceresources.com.
